Joe has been a leader in Life Sciences IT for over 30 years and has served as head of IT for several biopharmaceutical companies in the New England area.  In these roles, he has planned and implemented IT services and processes in support of thirteen product launches, across several therapeutic areas.  In addition to IT leadership and execution, he has focused on Global Supply Chain, Pharmacovigilance and Product Integrity solutions. with implementations in the U.S., Europe, and Asia.

 

Prior to joining TPP, Joe was the VP of Information Technologies for SAGE Therapeutics, Inc., where he built a full IT solutions suite and internal team to support the company’s first product launch.  Prior to SAGE, he was Senior VP of IT and CIO for FORUM Pharmaceuticals, a position he took in 2015 after a year of life-science consulting in global supply chain planning.

 

From 1995 to 2015, Joe was the Sr. VP of IT at Sunovion (nee Sepracor) Pharmaceuticals.  He has also held management positions at Millipore corporation, and other high-tech firms.  His early experience as an, analyst, programmer, and network technician followed his first career in transportation.

 

Joe has a Master of Science degree in Applied Mathematics and bachelor’s degree in Geography and Computer Science.  In addition to many professional training classes over the years, he is also a graduate of the CIO Academy at the Wharton School.
