ECMS Phase 0 Review
Many
of our clients know they need ECMS capabilities
but they don't know where to start, how much it
will cost, the type of skills and personnel necessary
to make the project successful, how long it will
take or what the second or third phase of the projects
will become. We have developed a short, focused
Phase 0 approach that gets our clients these answers
… quickly!
Our
skilled consultants have built a methodology that
has been used dozens of time across all industries
and in multiple countries to quickly define the
best approach for implementing the ECMS capability.
The results have lead to many, many successful implementations
in multiple companies and supported the business
owner's quest for budget and resources from upper
management.

ECMS
Software Selection
There
are dozens of ECMS packages on the market. In fact,
ECMS capabilities have approximately 40+ different
technical functions. It isn't surprising the many
companies don't need most of the them! TPPGS helps
our clients to define the functional specifications
necessary today and tomorrow, eliminate the vast
majority of unnecessary functions to allow a focused
software selection from a tight group of appropriate
vendors. We have an approach built on 15 years of
actual client experience that allows our clients
to quickly narrow the field of vendors and choose
the right package that meets their requirements.
(Note: TPPGS is NOT aligned with any software vendor.
We receive to commission or 'kickbacks' from software
sales. We are completely independent.)

ECMS
Program Management
ECMS
projects parallel classical data and transactional
projects in many ways. However, ECMS projects also
greatly differ in numerous ways from the classical
IT project. Content is different than data and the
approach we use at TPPGS to support our clients
takes these unique attributes into account. Our
people have implemented dozens and dozens of successful,
global ECMS projects for our clients. Using the
latest techniques specifically tailored to your
technology choice, we can help design a long term
project plan for your group -or- program manage
your project. TPPGS services can be tailored to
the needs of your project.
TPPGS
also assists our clients by providing governance
approaches to managing the program (e.g. establishing
program roles, steering committees, etc) to managing
the long-term ECMS environment.

ECMS
Content Architecture and Migration
Content
architecture services at TPPGS range from defining
the metadata and taxonomy of your future content
store to defining the approach to migrate your current
content store into your new ECMS. Building a robust
content architecture means that your users' portals,
your search engines and your authoring interfaces
work far more efficiently. TPPGS focuses on building
a long-last content architecture that will last
a decade or more. We also provide expansive content
migration services that scope, identify, codify/tag,
and migrate large volumes of content from hard drives,
shared drives, and out of date ECMS systems into
new ECMS environments. Our content review services
will help you comb through thousands of documents
quickly to find those that should be discarded,
migrated or maintained in their current environment.

Technical Design and Build
TPPGS

of ECMS environments. Whether your organization
is using a well-established system such as Vignette
or Documentum or newer systems such as MOSS 2007,
TPPGS has the skills and specialization to support
your design, build, QA and production phases. Our
people have experience in a numerous ECM environments
that can support your implementation efforts. Our
implementation methodology has been honed by 15
years of ECMS implementations and dozens of large-scale
projects.

requirements.

Records
Management
Records
Management (RM) requirements on organizations have
greatly increased over the past decade. Today's
legal discovery process demands almost immediate
access to vital records, which includes documents,
emails, and transactions. TPPGS RM services help
our clients best address their RM needs by efficiently
using available ECMS capabilities in-house. We have
found that little technology investment is actually
necessary to accomplish most RM needs; business
process modification along with existing technical
changes can often lead to a 85-90% solution.
Our
people understand how the content lifecycle, from
authoring to destruction, integrates into the business
process and how to use available technologies to
accomplish the tasks your organization needs to
support RM.
